Jade (girl who lives in Queen Anne) told us to go to this party in Belltown, so we did. It was not exactly a party in the manner we were accustomed, however; we were the only people not married or coupled at all. And of course Jade showed up almost an hour after we did, which made things SUPAH-AWKWAHD. But show up she did, with her two housemates in tow. (Or one of them, another showed up later.) I mentioned that I thought "that dude" was cute, and I decided to try to kiss him when the ball dropped. Er, except the ball doesn't drop in Seattle, in fact it's sort of the opposite, the fireworks look like they go up the Space Needle elevator or something.

So I cornered him on the balcony and started chatting with him, Steve made sure he was available, and as time drew near - we left the twelfth floor studio and went up to the penthouse. Clearly no one lived in the part of the penthouse that faced the Needle (no furniture, I'm fuckin' Sherlock Holmes man), but that didn't seem to matter. Everyone smashed onto the balcony and waited for the fireworks to go off. And go off they did. We screamed and hooted and hollered, and I kissed the boy. (OK, he's older than me.) And then we went inside after they finished, and I spilled champagne on us.

Went back down to the 12th floor pad briefly before fleeing to the Contour. The owner's girlfriend (who seems to love Steve and Bo) let us in for free, which was a huge score, as it meant I ended up spending zero dollars last night. She also kept filling our champagne flutes, which also helped in the financial realm. Steve got ridiculous drunk, I know because he bought Catwoman and me roses. And shortly after last call we decided to continue drinking at home. Steve thankfully just left his car, and it's probably still there...
