Good? Bad? Indifferent? I read it nearly a decade ago at this point and I only remember bits and pieces.

Yay.

The one thing I like Bester the most for (Roger Zelazny's really good at it too) is shovelling a thin novel chock full of such bizarre and fascinating things that it creates a completely alien world. Like: underground prisons for teleporters! Radioactive hitmen! Pyrophoric substances! Megal Mode! How he comes up with all of those and makes them fly, I'll never figure out.

But most comics in the 50s / 60s were terrible.
