Dear yogurt producers,

When selling "low-fat" yogurt, try to make it have significantly fewer calories than the full-fat variety, as opposed to only 20 fewer calories.

Thanks,
Laural

low-fat does not imply low-calorie, and it never has.

THEN WHAT IS THE FUCKING POINT

[identity profile] skipbreakfast.livejournal.com 2005-05-17 10:22 pm (UTC)(link)
marketing.

I'm also getting sick of so-called "healthy" sandwiches with MAYO on them.

but seriously do you know how hard it is to even find full-fat yogurts? I really would rather eat that as a meal b/c at least it is satisfying.

I find it hard enough to find decent yogurts where the fruit is not already mixed. I'm a fruit-on-the-bottom guy.

Well that's a t-shirt quote if ever I heard one.

Fruit on the Bottom was awesome. It was a snack AND an activity. Yet another reason to miss the 1980's.

brown cow is as good as homemade in my opinion... especially the cream-top. mmmmm.

reminds me of some wine company that pushed for approval to market a particular wine as "low carb", when the truth is that most wines are already "low carb"

I think it's perfectly appropriate for them to do that.
All this food hype is a bunch of crap anyway. Might as well go completely overboard to emphasize the absurdity of it!
The only truths that need to be followed when eating "healty" are to avoid an overdose of fructose -- to avoid obesity; and to avoid what you are allergic to.
Everything else has only the most minor of effects on your overall health and longevity (and weight, & etc.) -- it's almost insignificant.
