3 songs in one!

So I've never really sat down and listened to Godspeed You Black Emperor! before. I'm opposed to 20 minute songs on principle, there's no reason the tracks couldn't have been cut up more I mean, but other than that I like it ok.

Although I think Mono is more fun to listen to.

i very highly recommend you check out the peel session ("hung over like the queen in maida vale") track ...much better IMO than the studio versions (which wound up on "raise your skinny fists..." in cut up form). 12-28-99 is also a favorite of mine.

weird. I liked Mono when i listened to them, but it seemed like they were trying to do a more plain version of what godspeed does (less dramatic builds and weird ambient stuff).

a lot of bands like that tend to be. I think it has to do with making a live show more interesting when your music is mellow and relaxing. Mogwai was rediculously loud both times I've seen them.
