gotta bounce

  • Is it just me, or does a DVD of some dude playing a video game sound like the most boring thing ever?

  • So the job they want to place me at is like, totally the same job I interviewed for in January or so and never ever heard back from. Is this good or bad? we'll see.

  • Afterwards I bought crap at UO (sunglasses, underpants and a blue velvetish jacket) but no messenger bag. Struck out at the Gap too. What's the deal? Why can't I just find a goddamn messenger bag that isn't big enough to carry a 24-pack in? The smallish bags are just madeover purses, the real bags are too farkin' huge. I should have gone to old navy, perhaps.

  • On the plus side there were some rilly cute boys at the Gap. I wondered if there were any cute boys at A&F, but there weren't. Meaning the store had only Asian girls in there. (Heads up, Steve!)

  • Then Ana called me on the way home, which was nice.

edited to add this link which should remind everyone why Bush sucks.

Heh, the funny thing was, I had *intended* to open a new window, using command-shift-click to open the link BEHIND the current window. But, there's apparently a bug in the browser where a target new window makes it open in FRONT, regardless of my shift-holding.

maybe you should get a two button mouse.

    1. How would a two button mouse solve the problem? I can do everything a two button mouse can do with control-click, and since one hand is already on the mouse/button and the other hand is already in position on the keyboard, a two button mouse isn't even faster than control-click. Accordingly, why would I *want* a two button mouse?
    2. Command-shift-click is faster than using a context menu.
    3. How would I even use a two button mouse, considering I only have one finger on my right hand was using my laptop on my couch while watching TV?
    4. Even using the context menu to attempt to open behind, it opens in front, so a two button mouse would not solve the problem.
    5. I already own a two button mouse. It actually has five buttons. And a scroll wheel. But I hate scroll wheels.
    6. *Regardless*, I know how to use the features of my browser, and sometimes I want to open in front, sometimes I want to open behind, and sometimes, gasp, I want to open in the same window. The options are there for a reason.

Yeah, see, that was my subtle way of saying "maybe you shouldn't use a mac". But you missed that.

Actually, I do new windows all the time with my links. I get praised for it regularly, in fact. I wish more people did the same. Thanks.
