I'm not keeping this up very well, am I? I guess I feel like I'm really really not doing anything worth talking about. I read all the Xanth books except like the last 3, which took up some time, let me tell you. I then started on a Tim Powers novel, but then remembered that I hadn't read Tales of MU for ages, so I went back and read the whole thing from the beginning. Apart from that - our test pass started this week, and Reg is still adjusting to watch school. And I found out that my brother's cancer is in remission, so that's what triggered this in the first place. Also, they started a new bus route, cutting my buses taken daily from 6 to 4. (When Reg was working relatively near me, he'd drive me to a bus stop, so back then I was also at 4 buses a day, but that was 1 in the morning and 3 in the evening.)
Beyond that, I've been sometimes hanging out with people, but not very often. I am no longer in the partylots group, for sure, but I don't really want to be an insular married couple, especially as I am not married. whip_poor_will and velvet, occasionally seeing dearnana and sarahbliss. But that's about it really. This is ok, though; I don't have a problem with it. We have these people over for game nights whenever we think of it. It's cool.
Reg and I are thinking of having a vacation after xmas, since it's the first time in years I've accrued actual paid vacation. We always want a cabin in the snow, and this time it is early enough that I've found one for under $100/night. Unfortunately with Reg not actually earning money, we'll have to borrow from his parents or something. It'll be their present to us, I suppose.
