On Vox: hot fuzz

We saw Hot Fuzz at Majestic Bay with Asa on Sunday night. First time Reg got to leave the house for more than 10 minutes since the ER. It's by the same guys who did Shaun of the Dead, and it has that same sense of wacky. The plots are completely different, but the thematic structure is pretty similar. Normal stuff, gets more weird, then balls-out crazy hilarious out of control. Basic plot: the best cop on the London Metropolitan force gets transferred to a small country village, as he's making the London Met "look bad." At first he has to deal with infractions that most cops overlook "for the good of the community" - minor ones initially, but they soon include murder. DUNH DUNH DUNH. Pretty hilarious and enjoyable.

Yup. When I saw him in the movie, I remembered your wise opinion that he definitely makes a better villian than good guy.
